The fundamental principle guiding all our endeavours as Muslims is to prioritize sincerity, seeking to attain Allah’s pleasure. Allah (SWT) says to the prophet (SAW), “Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.” (6:162) The Prophet (SAW) said, “Verily deeds are only by intentions.” (Bukhari)
Humility is characterized by modesty, acknowledging limitations, respecting others, and fostering positive relationships. It involves accepting the contributions of others, showing empathy, and promoting personal growth and community. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace.” (25:63). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has revealed to me that you must be humble towards one another so that no one oppresses another or boasts to another.” (Muslim).
